WarningF194.gif (151 bytes) NOTICE: This syllabus contains all of the information about what is to be accomplished and/or handed in each week of the quarter. Every attempt will be made to adhere to the syllabus. It is the Student's responsibility to read the syllabus and ask questions before assignments are due via e-mail, fax, phone, voice-mail or the Bulletin Board as necessary. It is also the Student's responsibility to read his/her e-mail, the Bulletin Board and the Board Room on a daily basis in order to ascertain that no changes or additions have taken place on the syllabus. Ignorance of the law will not be an acceptable excuse for missing deadlines or not meeting requirements. See the Class Policies page.

ENGLISH 299 VIRTUAL OFFICE (chatroom). There will be times set up during the quarter for QUESTIONS online. As this is an online course, I can only tell you when those times will be: I can't really require you to be there. Those will not be "gossip" sessions. They will be used to discuss issues regarding the readings assigned for the course or other course-related items normally covered in the classroom. I will use the Bulletin Board to announce the times for the discussion sessions. Notice that the link to the virtual office and to the Board Room is accessed in the Contents on the Home Page.  You are to create a "handle" each time you enter the virtual office, and that "handle" should be at least your last name.

ENGLISH 299 BOARD ROOM. This is yet another means for me to contact you and for you to contact me. It enables you to post a message for me or for the class in general that will remain accessible for 7 days. It also enables the user to post an answer to the information given in the Board Room on site. Be sure to check this daily. It's only a click away.  Notice that the link to the virtual office and to the Board Room is accessed in the Contents on the Home Page.
