Respondus Campus Wide 3.5.1b is Now Available!

Respondus BB is a powerful software application that enhances the functionality and usability of Blackboard's exam and survey tools. It also provides seamless synchronization of print-based and online exams. Whether you are a "power user" of Blackboard® or a relatively new user, Respondus can save you hours on each assessment or survey project. You do not have to be logged into Blackboard to use Respondus.

All three parts of the Respondus installation process are documented below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Teaching Learning Resource Center at (614) 287-5991.

Part I - To Download Respondus:

Click here or go to http://global.cscc.edu/Respondus/Respondus35Campus.exe
The File Download dialog box will display - Click the Save button.
The Save As dialog box will display. Use the drop-down menu at the time to select Desktop. Click the Save button.

Part II - Run the Installation:

Go to your desktop.
Double-click on the Respondus35Campus.exe icon.
The WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box will display. Click on the OK button.
The WinZip Self-Extractor - Respondus35Campus.exe dialog box will display. Click on the UnZip button.
The WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box will display. Click on the OK button.
The Respondus 3 Set-up program will begin to install Respondus 3.0 to your computer. Please follow the instructions as the set-up program guides you through the process. You may also choose to set up the Equation Editor.
After the installation is complete, an icon labeled 'Respondus 3.0 Campus-wide' will appear on your desktop.

Part III - Activate Respondus:

Request Registration Information
Before using Respondus, you need to obtain the proper registration information to activate the software. You can obtain this information by completing the following form:
First Name: Last Name: Department: Phone Extension:
Voice mail box (if applicable): Groupwise (Columbus State) Email Address:

After you have received the registration information, proceed to Step 2.
Open Respondus
Double click on the Respondus 3.0 Campus-wide icon.
Unlock Respondus
The Campus Wide License dialog box will display. Input the registration information exactly as it appeared in the e-mail from Step 1.
Select Course Management System
The Choose CMS Personality dialog box will display. Select Blackboard 6.0 from the drop down menu - please choose Blackboard 6.0 - 6.2
Check for Updates
After you have unlocked Respondus, you need to make sure the you have all the most recent patches and updates for the software.
1. Click on Help
2. Click on Check for Update
3. The Software Update Available dialog box may display.
  
  If you see the Respondus dialog box, then you have the most recent version of Respondus already.
4. Click on Get Update
5. The Software Update Available dialog box will display. Click OK to continue.
6. Exit Respondus (click on the X in the upper-left-hand corner or go to File > Exit)
7. Double click on the Respondus 3.0 Campus-wide icon. The update will automatically install. If you experience any problems, please contact the TLRC at (614) 287-5991 or global@cscc.edu.

Part IV - Respondus Resources:
