I logged into Blackboard and saw someone else's content. What do I do?

Relates to: General Blackboard, Access, Content, Usernames and Passwords

Blackboard uses session cookies to identify who you are. On shared computers, like those in computer labs, a previous user might not have logged out of Blackboard. Additionally if you are accessing Blackboard from work, particularly at Ohio State or Bureau of Worker's Compensation, your network may be sharing cached files. As a result, when you log in, you see someone else's Blackboard courses and pages.

Try the following:

  1. Click Logout (the lock at the top of the screen)
  2. Log in again

If this did not fix the problem, please contact the IT Support Help Desk at (614) 287-5050.
