How to Create a New Folder

  1. Click on the Mailbox button Mailbox button graphic
  2. Click on the Add Folder button Add Folder button graphic
  3. Add Folder Screen
    • Under Folder Name, type a name for the new folder. You can use any combination or letters, numbers, spaces and other keystrokes to create your folder name. Although you can make the folders nearly as descriptive as you want, it is best to keep the folder names short and simple.
    • Under Type, select Mailbox or Calendar by clicking on the appropriate radio button. AMailbox folder is used to store e-mail messages. A Calendar folder is used to track dates and deadline information.

    • Under Create In, select the location of your folder by clicking on the appropriate radio button. olders can be placed inside other folders. For example, you might have a folder titled ENGL 102. You can create subfolders within ENGL 102 called Assignments or Questions or Essays.

      For example: Selecting your User Icon User Icon will create the folder in the main Mailbox.
      Selecting one of the Folder Icons Folder Icon will create a subfolder within the selected folder.
      Selecting one of the Calendar Icons Calendar Icon will create a subfolder within the selected calendar.
  4. Click on the OK button OK button to create the new folder. Note: If you want to cancel the creation of a new folder, click on the Cancel button Cancel Button.
