What is Distance Learning?
Distance learning is the delivery of educational programs where the instructor is not in the same place as the student. Students enrolled in distance education courses are called distance learners, whether they live right across the street from the campus or in another country.
Using a variety of technologies - television, video-based instruction, computers, and the Internet - these courses require limited time on the Columbus State campus. Consequently, distance learning provides a more flexible learning environment for students with job and family responsibilities.
