Blackboard
All web-based, blended and hybrid as well as several video-based, self-paced and traditional courses house course content, lecture notes, video and other learning mediums in Blackboard, Columbus State's online course management system. Blackboard is located at http://globalcourses.cscc.edu. Your username and password that you discovered at http://password.cscc.edu is used to access your account.
All course sections, including traditional classroom classes, automatically have a shell in Blackboard. For traditional classes, it is the instructor's discretion as to whether they want to supplement their class with online material in Blackboard.
Accessing Your Course
Web-based courses are usually made available the morning following the fee payment deadline (generally four days prior to the start of the quarter). However, some individual instructors may decide to leave their course unavailable until the official start of term. If your course does not appear under the "Courses" tab of Blackboard by the 1st day of the quarter, contact IT Support. at (614) 287-5050 or email at helpdesk@cscc.edu.
Courses from a Previous Quarter
If you were enrolled at Columbus State during the previous quarter, your courses, including those that were not distance learning courses, will remain visible in Blackboard until the end of the 6th week of class. Although this is to allow for students with incompletes to finish their courses, it does not mean that you personally have an incomplete - the courses are visible for all students.
